Sympathetic storming, or paroxysmal sympathetic hyperactivity (PSH), is a disorder of the central nervous system that affects severe TBI patients. Symptoms include sudden onset hyperthermia, tachycardia, hypertension, posturing, pupil dilation, agitation, and diaphoresis. Commonly referred to a brainstorming, neurostorming or simply "storming".
